Alongside these brand and marketing initiatives, one of Christina’s primary reasons for becoming a marketing project manager is the ability to work in conjunction with so many brilliant people that there isn’t really much room for “the same old thing.” Whether it’s planning for a new campaign, putting together a creative brief, juggling a schedule or chatting up sales and account folks, Christina’s eager to roll up her sleeves and dive right in. Oftentimes, if you can’t reach her at her desk, it’s because she’s usually running laps around the office chasing after her next deadline.

When Christina’s not in the office or out in the field, you’ll find she’s a craft enthusiast and a leisurely learner at heart. Knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking and painting are just a few of her favorite hobbies and she’s always got some project that she’s carrying in her purse. You can be sure to catch her in a craft or cooking class, scrapbook expo or even a marketing and project management class somewhere in the Bay Area. Learning new techniques and staying abreast of the latest trends in her field allows her to generate new ways of thinking, connect her emotionally to her projects and teams, and make her more knowledgeable on the subject matter, while rounding out her career as a whole.

In addition, Christina is also a firm believer in volunteering and an advocate for non-profit organizations. Over the years, she has volunteered and served on various boards. Christina was a mentor at Upwardly Global where she provided training and worked one-on-one with immigrant professionals to help them prepare for the job market, build confidence and succeed in their job search. She was a pro bono marketing and project management consultant for Taproot Foundation and has contributed to a number of service grants including International House A girl and her dogBerkeley, East Bay Jewish Community Center (JCCEB), and East Bay Asian Youth Center (EBAYC). Prior to Taproot Foundation, Christina was involved with the American Marketing Association, San Francisco Chapter (AMA SF) as its Vice President of Communications for four years. In addition to serving on the board of the AMA SF, Christina founded “Shield Speaks” Toastmasters and led the club to achieve the status of Distinguished Club in the first year of its inception. Christina also founded a running club called “Shield Runs”, and worked with executives for support and event sponsorship. Both Shield Speaks and Shield Runs were created to enhance employee programs, and promote health and wellness at Blue Shield of California.

Christina graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts Major (ICAM) and minors in Communications and Economics. She also studied abroad at the University of Alcala de Henares in Spain. Today, Christina works at ServiceNow designing thought leadership programs for C-Suite and continues to develop her interest for newfound hobbies such as punch needle embroidery, macramé and soap making.
